Maggie Mott of the renowned Kamgaard Norwegian Elkhounds in the US judged the Houndshow. The winner of the CC and BOB (and with it, her title) was Nyx (Grasilva Gee's Quest). Nyx is the second homebred Champion for the kennel.
Maggie's critique read "Certainly not a "glamour girl" but an individual of correct type. Not a big bitch, but so soundly constructed, in total balance and displaying a beautiful light and effortless movement. Watching her move around the ring, my thoughts were "she could go all day on the hunt and never tire." A tight weatherproof jacket topped it all off. A very worthy CC and BOB winner as well as a new Ch title."
Other individuals from the kennel also won well at the show. Flint (Grasilva Little Rock Avec Gilkaro JW) chalked up yet another RCC; Flint's siblings Mason (Grasilva Eric's Gift), Etta (Grasilva Faithfulness) and Tia (Grasilva Silver Vine) all won classes, with Tia being considered for higher honours.
