At the end of February, the Norwegian Elkhound Club of Great Britain held its annual AGM, where the points trophies for the top winning dogs of 2017 were awarded.
The elkhounds of Grasilva and their connections went home with many awards. In the category for most wins in Junior classes, Mya (Grasilva Cruggleton With Laakso) was awarded the Ranild of Barlestone Junior Shield. She also won the Ch Marta Salver for the most points in Post Graduate classes.
Siri (Am Ch Kamgaard Kiamesha) was the runner up Brood Bitch of the Year. Her son, Flint (Grasilva Little Rock Avec Gilkaro JW), was awarded the Celia Tomlinson Trophy for most wins in Limit classes.
Tanja Mortimer's Ch Laakso's Lone Ranger was awarded the Fourwents Stud Dog Trophy for the most points won by his offspring in all competition over the year. He is the sire of Mya's recent litter. Mya's sire, SBIS Ch/Am Gr Ch/Can Ch Kamgaard Kut Above was named as the top-winning veteran of 2017, so I think that you can safely say that the litter were truly bred in the purple.
